On Friday, July 4, 2025, 📍 the ‘Carol I’ Hall of the Bucharest Municipality Chamber of Commerce hosted, under the auspices of the Academy of Legal Sciences of Romania, the Gala of Legal Excellence – a memorable event that celebrated exceptional contributions in the field of Romanian law.
The gala was marked by two high-profile ceremonies: ⚖️ The award of Mr. Prof. Univ. Dr. Liviu Pop, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy, an undeniable personality of Romanian law. The excellence award for his entire activity was presented by Prof. Univ. Dr. Ioan Chelaru, honorary president of AȘJR, and the laudatio was delivered by Prof. Univ. Dr. Gheorghe Buta.
The reception of two new corresponding members of the AȘJR: Professor Dr. Marieta Safta and Professor Dr. Ioan Guceac, with speeches of response delivered by Professor Dr. Marin Voicu and Professor Dr. Cristian Ionescu. The certificates of recognition of the status of corresponding member were handed over by the president of AȘJR and by Professor Dr. Ovidiu Predescu, the general secretary of the academy.
