Eavesdropping on injustice.

Growing up, I would listen to the stories being told around me about changes to immigration legislation and the injustices people were experiencing.

People would come through our door whose voices were not being heard or recognised by the system. I remember sitting there, eavesdropping and thinking: this can’t be right.

That stayed with me and became part of the reason I was drawn to law, the opportunity to make a difference and speak up for people whose voices had not always been heard.
