A Decade of Integrity: 10 Years of Legal Education in Argeș by News247WorldPress and the Pitești Court of Appeal

PITEȘTI, December 25, 2025 – Today we celebrate more than just a milestone; we celebrate thousands of young lives shaped by legal literacy. The Argeș County Legal Education Pilot Project, initiated in 2015 by the British legal news agency News247WorldPress (now Justice News 247), marks ten years of uninterrupted activity, standing as the most consistent and longest-running program of its kind in Romania.

A 10-Year Journey: From Initiative to Institution

What began in 2015 as a visionary partnership between Robert Williams (Editor-in-Chief, Justice News 247) and the Pitești Court of Appeal has transformed into a powerful educational movement. Over the past decade, the project has reached hundreds of educational institutions—including secondary schools, high schools, colleges, and theological seminaries across Argeș and neighboring counties.

Reflecting on this anniversary, the project team notes: “We have poured our hearts into a future that does not fully depend on us.” In a world where society can easily veer toward disaster through ignorance, legal education has served as both a shield against misconduct and a catalyst for a slow but steady evolution.

The Pillars of Success: Magistrates Among Students

A defining element of this decade has been the active presence of magistrates in the classroom. Judge Rebeca Ion from the Pitești Court of Appeal has become a symbol of this dialogue, demystifying the judicial process and providing students with a human, accessible perspective on the law.

Key Themes Addressed Over the Decade:

  • Prevention and Responsibility: From bullying and juvenile delinquency to the life-altering risks of drug abuse.
  • Digital Security: Cybercrime and safety in the virtual environment—topics adapted to the rapid technological shifts of the last few years.
  • Democracy and the Constitution: Understanding the rule of law and the separation of powers.

Implementation through Justice News 247

  1. Project Communication: Ensuring transparency and accurate information flow.
  2. Personal Development: Integrating civic values into the individual growth of students.
  3. Fake News & Media Literacy: Crucial for combating legal misinformation in the digital age.

Looking Toward the Future

After 10 years, the mission continues. The message to the youth of Argeș and beyond remains the same: Justice is not merely a building; it is a set of values that every citizen must carry within their conscience. In an era where human behavior can be unpredictable, this project remains a constant of stability and progress. Justice News 247 reaffirms its commitment to social evolution through education, with the same passion that has defined every day of this decade-long journey.
