When I was asked to help launch an initiative by my local MP, Laura Kyrke-Smith MP which would provide work experience opportunity for young people interested in politics, leadership, and making a difference in our community, I said yes, yes! Now in its second year and thanks to the generosity of ajaz ahmed and Chiltern Railways alongside Stephanie Needleman from JUSTICE and Denisa Delić from International Rescue Committee and so many others who have worked hard to make this possible, I returned to Parliament to share my thoughts on the intersection of law and politics.

The law is a powerful tool that can protect or exclude, open doors or close them. Democracy, fairness and the rule of law are interdependent principles that cannot exist in isolation and must be upheld together if justice is to endure.
