It has been a privilege and an honour to become the Vice President of The Law Society today.
The law society is a membership organisation for the over 200,000 solicitor members.
A big heartfelt thank you to all who have supported me so far including the outgoing
President Richard Atkinson who has had an incredibly successful year.
A particular thank you to the Law Society Council Members for their support. They are the link to that membership.
I look forward to continuing working with the talented staff who support the important work of the society on behalf of it’s members.
A big welcome also to Dana who joins the office holder team and steps in to my old role of Deputy Vice President.
Last but not least thanks to Mark Evans, the new President, whose presidential year plan I look forward to supporting in the coming year. We share many common goals and I will look to build on his work in the following year.
It is a long way for a boy from a Council estate in Burnley to have come and that is a credit to our diverse profession.
A real pleasure to have my wife, daughter and her two friends who are also studying law there too.
