Lawless State: Time To Take Law Into Our Own Hands?

This morning, I appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain to discuss the viral clip of Robert Jenrick confronting fare dodgers on the London Underground and the suggestion that members of the public should do more to confront lawbreakers.

If the system isn’t working well, the answer is to fix the system, not abandon it. When individuals take justice into their own hands, it risks escalating violence, causing harm to innocent people, and eroding public trust in legal institutions.
