Careers fair – Thursday 23rd January 2025
When I am asked where are you from and I mention Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, the image that comes
to mind for many people is that of “leafy Buckinghamshire,” and in one respect they are right.
Aylesbury is surrounded by rural countryside situated between the ridges of the Cotswolds and the Chiltern Hills.
It’s where my grandfather “followed the work” and settled upon his arrival from the Carribean.
However, the reality is Aylesbury has some of the highest levels of limited social mobility and fewer labour market opportunities for young people.
Through a targeted approach, The Grange School’s career fair on January 23, 2025, will provide an opportunity for young people to talk face-to-face
with representatives from a range of careers in order for them to start to think about their career and study choices.
Often, by talking with you, they have their eyes opened to so many wonderful opportunities they may not have otherwise considered.
