Fire alarm at Maidstone Crown Court this morning. All 7 of the 8 available court rooms listed to sit were sitting with trials underway. Court rooms evacuated. 1145am court users including barristers informed it was fire drill. Safe building re-entry underway. Hearings delayed.

(We are reliably informed that alarm boxes inside the building all have the “fault” light on now and are making a high pitched noise.)
