With extensive experience in civil litigation, mediation and legal practice, Brett brings a wealth of expertise to the role. ⭐️
Throughout his presidency, Brett will focus on:
⚖️ Modernising civil justice by continuing the call for stronger domestic access to justice and addressing key structural challenges.
⚖️ Leading on digital justice and technology adoption and championing the ethical and effective use of technology.
⚖️ Improving access to the profession by supporting people from disadvantaged or lower socio-economic backgrounds and centring disabled members’ voices.
Brett says:
“I am honoured to serve as Law Society president at a pivotal point for the profession.”
“As artificial intelligence transforms legal practice and digital justice, I will advocate for clear standards, appropriate regulation and responsible innovation.”
“As president, I will champion a criminal justice system that is fit for the future, backed by long-term investment, earlier intervention and responsible innovation to break the cycle of crisis management and deliver safer communities.”
We’re looking forward to working alongside Brett to continue supporting the future of the legal profession.
