Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Ayesha A. Malik on being awarded the International Leader/ Lifetime Award at the Justitia Awards 2026 in Vienna.

The Justitia Awards honors outstanding women in the legal profession who have made significant contributions to the legal world leading to an increase in gender equality and diversity.

This category celebrates the most talented and impactful women in the legal professions, recognizing their achievements and contributions to society. The nominee is “the” outstanding woman of the year, demonstrating excellence as the most innovative and groundbreaking lifetime achiever.

She shares this award in this category with I. Stephanie Boyce, former President of the Law Society of England and Wales, UK.

These awards are held annually in Vienna by The Women in Law Initiative in Vienna. An international Jury votes to shortlist the nominees for this prestigious recognition from all over the world.

In her acceptance speech, Justice Malik said, “this award for me is not only about recognising the work
but the impact and most importantly, the journey that it has shaped.”
“An award such as this is not about just one woman, it belongs to all those women entering spaces where they were once excluded; it belongs to the women who bring that different perspective to institutions; it belongs to the women who make the voices of other women heard and most importantly it belongs to the women who help institutions and the law better reflect the people that suffer.” She added.
These awards are held annually in Vienna by The Women in Law Initiative in Vienna. An international Jury votes to shortlist the nominees for this prestigious recognition from all over the world.

“This is moment of pride for Pakistan as Justice Malik is an inspiration for all of us and this international recognition for her contributions to law and justice make all of us very happy and proud back at home.” said Nida Usman Chaudhary.
She is the third Pakistani to win the prestigious Justitia Award after Nida Usman Chaudhary in the International Academia category in 2021 and Jalila Haider in the International Pioneers and Game Changers category in 2023.
