Criminal Bar Leaders Urge Government to Protect Jury Trials

The Criminal Bar in the United Kingdom published a message from its leaders, Chair Riel Karmy-Jones KC and Vice Chair Andrew Thomas KC, regarding expectations from the new administration. …our hope that sense would prevail, and that the new Government administration would publicly recognize that the time has come to abandon the proposals to restrict the right to jury trial. They have not done so yet.
