Tawakkol Karman: A Nobel Laureate’s Courage Against Oppression

Despite imprisonment and persecution, Tawakkol Karman, stood firm in her beliefs under an oppressive regime. She was awarded the peace prize in 2011 for her non-violent efforts to promote peace and women’s rights.
