Thank you to all the barristers and circuit leaders who hosted or spoke with MPs today as part of our court constituency day.
The visits provided cross-party politicians the opportunity to understand how the criminal justice system operates, what issues are causing the delays and hear from barristers and court staff why curtailing jury trials is not the answer.
There was also discussions on the lack of investment, delays to prisoner transport, tech and equipment failure, and barrister burnout.
