Bucharest, November 14, 2025 – The Romanian Academy of Legal Sciences (ASJR ) successfully held its 2025 Awards Gala in the prestigious Throne Hall of the Royal Palace in Bucharest. The event celebrated professional excellence and solidified strategic partnerships across the academic community.
The ceremony was opened and coordinated by Prof. univ. dr. Liviu-Bogdan Ciucă, President of the ASJR, who emphasized the fundamental role of the Academy in the country’s scientific and legal life.
Academic Unity and Interdisciplinary Dialogue
The Gala served as a major opportunity to recognize values across the entire Romanian cultural space. The extensive participation of members from the Network of Romanian Academies (RAR) highlighted the robust collaborations developed by the ASJR with key institutions: the Romanian Academy, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Academy of Technical Sciences, and the “Gheorghe Ionescu-Șișești” Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences.
This high-level interdisciplinary dialogue not only strengthens collaboration but also contributes to reinforcing the academic community’s role and affirming Romania within the European Research Area.
Honors for the Scientific Elite
Significant distinctions were awarded during the ceremony, underscoring cross-border cooperation:
- Academician Ion TIGHINEANU, President of the AȘM, was elected honorary member of the ASJR. His acceptance speech was titled “Love, Unity, Truth” (“Dragoste, unitate, adevăr”).
- Corresponding member Valeriu CUȘNIR (AȘM) was honored with the title of corresponding member of the ASJR.
The response speech for Acad. Ion Tighineanu was delivered by Prof. univ. dr. Ioan CHELARU, Honorary President of the ASJR
