“We condemn the actions aimed at intimidating the Justice Minister Naomi Long MLA.

“Intimidation and threats against those who serve in public office are an attack on our system of democracy

and the rule of law.

“Intimidation and threats of violence must not be misconstrued as civic participation nor a legitimate form of freedom of expression.

“In a climate of increasing extremism, we must be prepared to protect and reassert our support for democracy and the rule of law.”
