“I express, with utmost respect and gratitude, my thanks to Professor Liviu-Bogdan Ciucă, the president of the Academy, to the entire management and distinguished members of the Academy, for the trust granted and the generous reception in this prestigious scientific community. I have fully felt the solemnity and nobility of the moment, as well as the responsibility that derives from this quality.
I would like to extend special thanks to Professor Marin Voicu, a personality with an exceptional contribution in the field of international and comparative law, for his constant support, for the encouragements and discussions that have always provided me with inspiration and direction, for his agreement to deliver the response speech during the ceremony, warmly and cheerfully evoking our common roots from Dobrogea.
My acceptance speech was dedicated to a theme that lies at the center of my scientific concerns – legal security – a theme I consider fundamental for the functioning of the rule of law, for the guarantee of fundamental rights and freedoms, and for the cohesion and efficiency of state institutions. The choice of this subject reflected not only my academic and professional journey but also my profound conviction that the law, to be respected, must be coherent, clear, and predictable. It is a theme of unwanted timeliness, but all the more important.” – Prof.Univ.Dr. Marieta Safta.
Warm congratulations to Mr. Prof. Univ. Dr. Ion Guceac, who was presented with the certificate of corresponding member during the same ceremony!
Prof. Liviu Pop, corresponding member of the Romanian Academy, Doctor Honoris Causa, was present online and was awarded, thus the superb trophy will arrive in Cluj.
