A few corrections to add in support of @jaimerh354 @Kirsty_Brimelow

  1. Judges usually go straight to sentence. Sentencing notes and authorities

would have been served on the court by prosecution and defence.

  1. The Judge did not say it was terrorism.

  2. For those interested in accuracy – it’s not a summing up but sentencing remarks.

A summing up is what the Judge does at the end of the evidence in a trial (to a jury).
