Barbara Mills KC, Chair of the Bar 2025, has called on the government to “fund the family courts and end the horrific

roll call of violence against women and girls” as she set out her priorities for the year ahead.

Barbara delivered her inaugural address at @TheInnerTemple to a packed audience.

In her speech, which received a standing ovation, she committed to:raising the profile of the family Bar

enhancing the wellbeing of the profession,making further strides on equality diversity and inclusion, and

continuing to press for the resources needed to restore the justice system
