Last night I had the privilege to speak at SOAS University of London, Women in Law
networking event and to meet and inspire the next generation of female leaders.
It was an honour to share my journey and to encourage those entering our profession
to run their own race and write their own story.
I reflected on the importance of a profession that reflects the society it seeks to serve.
The importance of not only access to the profession, but that the succession pipeline is adequately sourced.
My commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion goes beyond words; it’s about taking
action to ensure that the doors we open stay open, so others may follow.
And while much has been achieved, there remains a lot more to be done to build an inclusive pipeline
of future leaders that represents all backgrounds and identities, where we all get to thrive at every level of our
respective profession. So today, think about the difference you will make.
Who are you going to lift as you climb?
