This week’s Budget announcement included welcome investment for the justice system, as well as a suite of tax rises that aim to fill a “black hole” in public finances.
Commenting on the £1.9 billion increase in Ministry of Justice’s budget over the next two years, our president, Richard Atkinson stated:
“The message that the Lord Chancellor should be hearing is spend to save.”
