In Bucharest, Romania, Prof. Thierry Tanquerel, President of AIDRU, University of Geneva (Switzerland) received the “Life Time Achievement Awards” and was interviewed by the British global news agency News247WorldPres and Justice News247. On the occasion of the organization on September 20-21, 2024, by the Ecological University of Bucharest (UEB) where it hosted the XIVth Colloquium of the International Law Association Urban Planning Law (AIDRU), with the theme Urban Planning Law and Climate Change: challenges and perspectives.
Professor spoke about the importance of urban planning and legislation together with participants from over 20 countries.
“AIDRU is an interprofessional organization, founded in 1992, based in Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris, which brings together national associations in the field and reputed individual specialists, dedicated to the promotion of comparative law urban planning through studies and research, the facilitation of information exchanges, the organization of international training sessions, colloquia and seminars, the representation of its members
with international, regional and national institutions.
Our country ( Romania) is a member of the Association since 2005 and its representative is a member of the Board of Directors of it.
Hosting Romania on the eve of the adoption of its first Planning Code territory, urban planning and constructions, which assumes as a priority the objectives of the ecoclimatic aspects of territorial sustainable development, the AIDRU colloquium and congress is also an exceptional opportunity to highlight national concerns in this area and
