The Court of Appeal wishes Justice Mary Lou Benotto all the best in her retirement from the bench! Justice Benotto was called to the bar of Ontario in 1978. Appointed to the Superior Court in 1996, she served as a judge for 28 years, 11 years on this Court. An extraordinary jurist who left an indelible mark on the Canadian judiciary, Justice Benotto was also the longest serving chair of the Court of Appeal’s family rules committee. Her last official day was August 30, 2024.
