Following the planned riots yesterday, we are continuing to support and contact firms and advice agencies on the target list to ensure they are safe.
We thank the UK government and the police for their recent efforts in keeping solicitors and legal advice centres safe. We also commend the community who came out to peacefully defence their local area and businesses last night.
These threats against the legal profession were an attack on democratic values. Now is the time for our country and leaders to reaffirm their commitment to the rule of law. Swift justice must be served to those who have committed crime in recent days.
