Today, I delivered a speech at the Palace of Parliament and responded to questions from my future colleagues, who are currently law students and others. I wish I had had access to such an event “back in my day”!

I spoke to them as I wished someone had spoken to me when I was a student, encouraging them to be perseverant, to understand that one can only overcome the frustrations of a professional failure with a passion for law practice, to use new technologies, and to ensure they protect their own data and their clients’, also discussing the cybersecurity course for legal professionals. I explained that law wasn’t my first choice, but it came naturally after I realized that I needed a lot of freedom, including the freedom of expression. At the same time, I told them that those who are truly passionate about their profession will never be able to detach from it and there will never be a fixed schedule, but, surprisingly, they will enjoy this.

I was pleased that they stayed until the last panel, after the politics and diplomacy ones. Thanks to the student who asked whether a law on magistrates’ accountability is necessary. I answered YES and provided everyone with arguments, hoping that it would pass through the legislative process in the next term.

The students from the younger generation are extraordinarily involved and informed! Congratulations to them for that!

Kudos to the volunteers who were involved in ensuring every little detail was perfect! Congratulations to Mrs. Laura Vicol, lawyer and deputy, for the idea of organizing such a conference for the youth. This way, I was able to notice her involvement in a multitude of such projects and I hope she continues them in a future term! Congratulations also to INGENIO, who provided packages of books, codes, and training programs for admission into legal professions!
