Justice not vengeance. We prosecute on behalf of  @CPSUK and defend those accused of criminal offences, without fear or favour. No matter what the offence, no matter what the person or views of the criminal barrister, justice will be served according to the law. Barristers, by reason of the cases they are involved in, should not by that fact be associated with the client or any cause or belief espoused by that client. Fair trials are to prevent the guilty walking free and the innocent being convicted. Criminal barristers provide independent legal expertise in the courts of England and Wales and pride themselves on that independence – this preserves the fairness of our criminal justice system.
