Kirsty Brimelow KC: A New Era for the Bar Council

Congratulations to Kirsty Brimelow KC, who has started her year-long term as Chair of The Bar Council of England and Wales! 🎉

From 1 Jan, Kirsty will lead the first all-female leadership team at the Bar Council, having succeeded Barbara Mills KC.

Kirsty says: “I will bring my cross-jurisdictional expertise to overcome challenges and embrace opportunities for barristers and people delivering and accessing justice. I also will lead with courage and kindness.”

We are delighted to see an all-female leadership team at the Bar – visible, credible female leadership sends a powerful signal about opportunity, progression and belonging in the profession.
