Justice is the immune system of a state, and the functioning of justice is also of interest to society as well. If justice does not work properly, the whole society is affected. Whether we are talking about ordinary people or business, justice must be: fair/straight (made with people of integrity and well trained); (short-term) and accessible (with bearable costs and adequate infrastructure).
Modern technology today offers a number of advantages, but it also comes with a number of challenges including: changing legislation much more often, affecting the quality of laws; regulation of new areas such as electronic payments or the management of personal data for which we need specialisations; the continued education of those involved in the act of justice and the enhancement of the role of justice experts.
This was the message I gave today, 22.10.2020, to the debate organised by the Romanian National Union of Bars with the title: “Continuity in justice and respect for human rights in the pandemic”, the theme that I have addressed is: “Justice in the era of the digital revolution”.

Tehnologia modernă de astăzi oferă o serie de avantaje, dar vine și cu o serie de provocări printre care: schimbarea legislației mult mai des, care afectează calitatea legilor; reglementarea unor noi domenii precum plățile electronice sau gestionarea datelor personale pentru care avem nevoie de specializări; educația continuă a celor implicați în actul de justiție și sporirea rolul experților în justiție.
Acesta a fost mesajul pe care l-am dat astăzi, 22.10.2020, la dezbaterea organizată de Uniunea Națională a Barourilor din România cu titlu: ,,Continuitatea în justiție și respectarea drepturilor omului în pandemie”, tema pe care eu am abordat-o fiind: ,,Justiția în era revoluției digitale’’.
